Dermaplaning
A surgical scalpel is used to gently scrape away dull dead skin cells and remove vellus hair otherwise known as ‘peach fuzz’ on the face. This hair is fine and soft and very often lighter than your natural hair colour, and often occurs when we experience hormonal changes in the body such as the onset of menopause or puberty. Dermaplaning results in instantly glowing, smooth, even-toned skin. It’s a great choice for those with sensitive skin and chronic dryness who want to slough off dead skin cells without irritating their skin in the process.
This treatment is the perfect way to prepare your skin for a luxury facial or a chemical peel to boost its effects.

One of the most common myths of dermaplaning is that it's painful. The reality is that since dermaplaning involves light feathery strokes, you'll find it to be pleasant and pain-free.
-
Side effects may include slight redness in your face for a few hours after the treatment. SPF of at least 50 is a must after this treatment.
-
Dermaplaning is recommended every three to four weeks. Each time you get dermaplaned, you're removing about two to three weeks' worth of dead skin cells.
