Polynucleotides: the key to amazing skin

Although they’re the new kid on the block in aesthetics Polynucleotides have been around for a very long time. They have been used in the medical field since 1986 for their regenerative properties, including wound healing and tissue repair. In a nutshell, they are the building blocks of our DNA. They can stimulate cellular regeneration, collagen synthesis, and elastin production in the skin.

I’ve been using them for a while now and I love the results I’m seeing. They aren’t an immediate fix, this is a treatment that is all about investing time and patience. It’s a bit like starting at the gym, you have to wait a little while before you see the results, but I promise you, it’s worth the wait. It’ll be at least 2-3 weeks before you begin to see any improvements, and up to 3 months before you see the full effects of the treatment. You’re cells will start to work 50% more efficiently and that leads to a quicker turnover of cells and fresh, glowing skin.

Polynucleotides: the benefits

  • Polynucleotides work by triggering the body's natural healing response, stimulating the production of essential proteins and growth factors that contribute to skin rejuvenation. By promoting cell turnover and collagen synthesis, they can improve skin texture, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and enhance overall skin firmness and elasticity.

  • Polynucleotides help to hydrate the skin by strengthening the skin barrier and increasing water retention. A wonderful benefit if you suffer from dry, dehydrated or dull-looking skin, as they can restore moisture, leaving the skin plump and supple.

  • Polynucleotides have been proven to accelerate the healing process and minimize downtime after other aesthetic procedures, such as chemical peels which is why I like to combine these treatments. They are known to reduce inflammation and promote tissue regeneration, supporting the recovery process.

  • If you have uneven skin tone, hyperpigmentation, or acne scars Polynucleotides are your best friend. They address these concerns by promoting a more even distribution of melanin and stimulating collagen synthesis to achieve a smoother, more even skin texture.

  • Because Polynucleotides work at a cellular level they promote lasting changes by improving the overall health and function of the skin. With regular treatments and a good skincare routine, you will experience long-term improvements in the quality of your skin and its appearance.
